BlueCORE/SFG Overview
BlueCORE is BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee's real-time based eligibility, benefits, claim status, and remittance application. BlueCORE follows the standard operating rules defined by CAQH CORE® requirements. For further information on how use BlueCORE, please see the attached Companion Guides.
SFG (Secure File Gateway) is BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee's Secure file transfer system. SFG adheres to the infrastructure rules defined in the CAQH Payment and Remittance Operating Rules with respect to deliver of Electronic Remittance Advices. Blue CORE will not be available on the following Holidays

- Martin Luther King Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
Regular Scheduled Maintenance
Blue CORE and Secure File Gateway may not be available due to regular system maintenance during the following times:
- Every Tuesday 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Every Thursday 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Every Sunday
Unscheduled Maintenance or Emergency Downtime
